It's a new year. We've recently had our December Tab meeting (which is one of the two big ones each year), and as usual, that comes with a number of refinements and changes to our plans.
As has been pretty constant for the last several months, a lot of work has been done recently on our website. Most recently our TabBlog and DevBlog were migrated to an actual blog app, rather then simply being pages we manually updated with new posts. As I'm usually the one writing these updates, I'm quite happy with this change. While we were at it, we also moved most of our old pre-Tab Creations LLC posts out of the more formal TabBlog and into the DevBlog.
Likely more important to people reading this, we set a target date for starting our Against the Dark Yogi Kickstarter. That date is February 5th, although in practice the real start date may end up being off by a few days. Right now the Kickstarter is all ready to go, aside from waiting on the editor and doing a last minute sanity check on our printing estimates, shipping estimates and fundraising target.
We're expecting to get the last of the Against the Dark Yogi chapters back from the editor by mid-January, and from that point on through the next few months, our attention is going to turn back to Dark Yogi so we can get it finished. With any luck we'll have a successful Kickstarter by then, and can send it out to all of our backers. If luck's not with us, then we'll still have a completed game (albeit not with as much art or fancy layout as we would like), and we can examine our options from there.
I should also note that our Ganjifa cards are now back available on Amazon. The fact that Amazon stopped selling them in December was rather unfortunate. From what I understand, it's the result of a strange Amazon policy where they won't sell products in December that weren't already listed in September. I'm guessing it has something to do with trying to prevent third-party sellers from gaming the Amazon system, and using it only to sell products during the holiday season.
The last thing I'm going to note here is that we recently commissioned a new logo. The new logo hasn't been finalized yet, so I don't have anything to show off. But expect to see it on our site in the not-too-distant future.
