It's hard to read the news these days without hearing about "generative AI." It's new. It's in the middle of its "hype" cycle and it's seemingly everywhere. We've also been asked about it recently, and thought that this would be a good opportunity to issue our official policy regarding the use of generative AI.
We do not use generative AI in our products, nor do we have any plans to adopt it. We don't use it in our art and we don't use it in our writing. Going into the future, we plan to ask our freelancers not to use it in any project they produce for us as well.
Personally, my views on generative AI are mixed. It's a tool with legitimate uses. Its recent use in protein structure prediction is particularly cool! But I am dubious that it provides value to the creative domain. And so you can rest assured that any product you buy from us is made by humans, for humans.
