Hello and welcome to the first quarterly Tab Update of 2022! It's a new year with a lot of new products in the works, so let's go over where everything stands and what you can expect from us over the next 12 months.
Our first priority of the new year is fulfilling Kickstarter orders for the second printing of our Ganjifa cards. So far we have a contract in place with a printer. The box art was just finalized. And the rules booklet has been written, edited and laid out, but is still awaiting its final proofing pass. Once we finalize the rules booklet, we'll send all the files to the printer and then it's a matter of waiting for the cards to be printed and shipped overseas to our fulfillment partner. So far everything is on track for early or on time delivery, but the state of international shipping after the cards are printed is still a big unknown.
At the end of this month / early Feburary, we'll be experimenting with our first "quickstarter." That is a short, focused Kickstarter campaign to fund a smaller product, with immediate delivery to backers as soon as the campaign closes. The quickstarter will be for the Age of Ambition: Expert Bestiary, a collection of 87 new and more experienced foes for your campaigns. We'll also be releasing this product through our Patreon and gathering feedback from fans to determine if the quickstarter funding model is right for us.
Looking further into the future, we have a number of other products in various stages of development. Shadows Over Sol: Disjunction is currently being written by the unstoppable Jesse Pingenot. It's a chilling and dystopic action horror scenario, as well as a return to the crushing gravity well of Earth. Meanwhile, completed drafts have been accepted for Age of Ambition: Tainted Gold and Age of Ambition: The Forslin Job (both working titles, not finalized ones). These two intermediate scenarios provide a glimpse of the sweeping wastes of the Desolation and the ancient kingdom of Veglial, respectively. Editing on them will begin in the next few weeks. Finally, Shadows Over Sol: Dark Abyss (again, a working, not finalized title) is currently being written and we hope to receive its initial draft soon. This survival horror scenario drowns the dark future in the crushing depths of the ocean.
Last but not least, the writing for Age of Ambition: What Lies Beneath (working title), the first full-length campaign and sourcebook for that game line, is well underway. I'd estimate its initial draft at being maybe a third written. It's a return to the city of Melanoc, as previously seen in the Quick-Start and several of our One-Sheet Scenarios. It also reveals one of the hidden secrets of the world of Trystell. It's our next big project; expect it to Kickstart sometime in the fall.
