Hello, friends, fans and gaming family! It's the fourth quarter, and as ever, things are busy here at Tab Creations!
Since the last update, we announced our official Instagram and YouTube accounts. We made the first beta release of our Foundry VTT support for Saga Machine Unified. The open playtest of Saga Machine Unified wrapped up. We announced our "No AI" policy and made a new teaser post detailing character creation in the upcoming Shadows Over Sol 2e.
Speaking of which, if you haven't followed Shadows Over Sol: Second Edition yet on Kickstarter, now is the time to do so! Every follower the campaign has helps boost its visibility.
By far most of our work this last quarter, however, has been on Strange Bedfellows for Age of Ambition. It is the second full campaign for that game line, following a group of movers and shakers in the city of Melanoc as they seek to improve the realm, advance their personal ambitions, navigate politics and face an apocalyptic danger lurking in their midst.
Currently the book has been written, edited and received its initial layout pass. We're currently still waiting on one final piece of art before calling its art direction complete. Meanwhile, its final layout pass is in progress, and is about 30% done. Once the last art piece is in and the final layout pass complete, we'll send the document to proofing for one more quality control pass before releasing it to backers.
Right now the PDF is on track for an early December release. Unless any unexpected snags are encountered -- and they do sometimes happen -- print copies are likely to go out in January.
Looking to the future, we have a bundle of one-sheet scenarios being prepared for Shadows Over Sol, Age of Ambition and Dime Adventures. Two regular-size Age of Ambition supplements and a Shadows Over Sol scenario are also in the queue, awaiting editing.
These releases, however, have been complicated by Patreon's decision to drop support for "per creation" billing, the billing option we use. Currently we are evaluating all of our options and in the next month plan to make a decision on how to revamp or migrate our Patreon.
All that is likely to keep us busy, at least through the New Year. Come 2025, we plan to buckle down and focus on seeing Shadows Over Sol 2e through to its summer Kickstarter and release. We also hope to increase our social media outreach and review how our products appear on the new DriveThruRPG site.
