Tab Update: Q4 2015

We’ve had a great quarter! Production is back on track. Revenue is up. We’ve had a successful Kickstarter! Let’s review:...

Shadows Over Sol: Week One

It's been a week now since the funding period on the Shadows Over Sol Kickstarter ended, and this is the first of our weekly updates on the project. In the last week we've been hard at work getting the ball rolling: contracting artists, doing cost estimates and making progress on our layout plans....

Shadows Over Sol Cost Breakdown

We're coming up on the first week since the funding period for the Shadows Over Sol Kickstarter ended, and in this week we've been hard at work putting all the pieces in place for a smooth and timely production process. We've also taken stock of our expenses and done our initial estimates....

Our Publication Process

When we at Tab Creations publish a new roleplaying game, we have a regular process that we like to go through in order to ensure that the game meets our quality standards. Using this process, a new roleplaying game supplement passes through a series of stages before it is considered complete. As we recently concluded the funding period on our Shadows Over Sol Kickstarter, an influx of new backers is likely wondering just what to expect as the game goes through its final production. The various steps we use to produce a game are detailed below....

Shadows Over Sol Funds!

The Shadows Over Sol Kickstarter has ended, raising $7,814 from 278 backers, or in other words, reaching 651% of the initial funding goal! We are thrilled by the outpouring of support we’ve seen for the game....

Last 59 Hours for Shadows Over Sol Kickstarter!

We're down to the last 59 hours of the Shadows Over Sol Kickstarter, and making progress towards the final remaining stretch goal!...

Shadows Over Sol Kickstarter Live!

Shadows Over Sol, the science fiction horror roleplaying game, is now available on Kickstarter!...

Shadows Over Sol Kickstarter Incoming

Two hundred years from now what should be the shining beacon of the future is instead cloaked in conspiracy and horror. Humankind has expanded throughout the solar system, and there discovered mysteries older than humanity. The culture has shattered into myriad subcultures; nation-states are the hollow shells of what they once were. Corporations and other groups wage small-scale wars in the streets or in space. Bioengineered horrors left over from these conflicts stalk the hulls of ruined stations and abandoned colonies. But for an enterprising team willing to brave the horrors, there's always a profit to be made. Join us Tuesday, September 1st at 9 am EDT on Kickstarter, as we bring to the world the science fiction horror roleplaying game, Shadows Over Sol. Meanwhile, feel free to download the Quick-Start or sign up to be notified when the Kickstarter begins....

Shadows Over Sol: The ARC Project

This week we preview the ARC Project, one of the most ambitious engineering efforts currently underway in the future of Shadows Over Sol. The ARC Project (short for Alpha-Centauri Remote Colony) is no less than an attempt to construct humanity's first interstellar colony ship. Once completed, this ship will be launched at the planet Sirine orbiting Alpha Centauri A, carrying some 10,000 inhabitants. It will then undergo a four century journey to its final destination with the hope of colonizing a distant exoplanet....

Shadows Over Sol: Character Creation

Horror would be nothing without characters to experience dread and terror. Science fiction would be little without characters to make the future happen. Player characters are the heart of any roleplaying game. Character creation in Shadows Over Sol takes place over the course of a few basic steps. These steps establish a character's concept, capabilities and place in the world. A bit of insight about each of these steps is given below....
