Dark Yogi: Week Five

It’s a double-update this week between the quarterly Tab Update and the this, the weekly Against the Dark Yogi update....

Tab Update: Q2 2014

This has been a hugely successful quarter for Tab Creations, and it’s time for our usual quarterly report on our progress and setbacks. ...

Dark Yogi: Week Four

It’s been nearly a month since funding ended on the Against the Dark Yogi Kickstarter. We continue to make good progress and get ever-nearer to the book going to layout....

RPG Taxonomy: Advancement

I think I’ve mentioned this before: One of the biggest difficulties in a group setting with talking RPG mechanics in the abstract that so many different terms mean so many different things to different people. There isn’t any standard RPG taxonomy. And that leads to all sorts of different miscommunications....

Dark Yogi: Week Three

We’re now at three weeks since the end of the Against the Dark Yogi Kickstarter’s funding period, and as time passes we continue to get ever-closer to the release of the final game. For you this week we have an art preview, the usual look at last week’s progress and a glimpse into our release plans....

Dark Yogi: Week Two

It's now been two weeks since the Against the Dark Yogi Kickstarter ended. In this last week we have continued to busily work towards completing the game book and fulfilling all of our backer rewards. Progress from this last week includes:...

The Kickstarter for Against the Dark Yogi ended one week ago today, and since then we’ve been very busy getting the ball rolling towards the final release. Since the close of the Kickstarter we’ve been doing cost estimates, commissioning art, finalizing our layout plans and putting together the additional content for the book unlocked by our stretch goals....

Crowdfunding Campaigns Part 3: Aftermath

The funding is over. The dust is finally settling. Hopefully you now have a fully funded project. If you do, you also now have a host of obligations to your backers and a limited budget to fulfill them in. Good luck! Here’s what you need to know....

Against the Dark Yogi is Funded!

We’ve really been blown away by the amount of support that we’ve gotten on the Against the Dark Yogi Kickstarter from our generous backers, and from the RPG community as a whole. Funding ended this morning, and the pledge total just peeked over $11,000! This means that not only have we been fully funded, but we have also met our final challenge stretch goal: full-color printed books! ...

72 Hours Left for Against the Dark Yogi

Less than 72 hours are left on the Kickstarter campaign for Against the Dark Yogi, and in the last few days we have reached two more stretch goals, unlocking an additional adventure in the game book and an full-color poster map of the world of Bhurloka! Four stretch goals remain, including a form-fillable character sheet, GM screen inserts, a tripled art budget and hardback books!...
