Freebie Spotlight: Low-Tech Weapons Reference

In the Saga Machine core rulebook, the Low-Tech Weapons section lacks weapon descriptions, unlike either the High-Tech or Future-Tech weapons sections, on the assumption that players will be familiar with the variety of weapons provided there. However, those those of you who aren't, we now present the Low-Tech Weapons Descriptions Sheet, giving a table of all of the Low-Tech weapons listed in the Saga Machine core rulebook, along with a brief description. In addition, the weapons table has been reorganized to group weapons together by alphabetical order and basic function. Useful....

Freebie Spotlight: Mental-Social Character Sheet

We now present as this week's freebie the Mental-Social Character Sheet. This sheet is designed for those making use of only the Mental and/or Social modules with Saga Machine. With this freebie, we complete the entire set of character sheets planned for release in the near future. Next week, look forward to the beginning of the freebie series focusing on GM and player aids....

Freebie Spotlight: Combat-Environment Character Sheet

This week's Saga Machine freebie is another character sheet--this time a character sheet designed for those making use of only the Combat and/or Environment modules. Featuring, increased space for the Health track, this character sheet adds more options for the game master planning a game of Saga Machine. You can find the Combat-Environment Character Sheet at the link in this sentence....

Freebie Spotlight: Baseline Character Sheet

As the first of the Saga Machine freebies begin to go online, I would like to announce the beginning of what will hopefully be a weekly post here in the TabBlog. Each week I plan to highlight some new upload or expansion to our product line....

Saga Machine Released!

I am happy to announce that as of today, Saga Machine has been officially released! After over a year of development, it is now public and available for purchase on our Products page. For those of you who want statistics, Saga Machine is some 170,000 words, filling 256 pages with an easy, modular tabletop role-playing system, capable of running a variety of genres....

Fourth Quarter 2008 Tab Update

By all accounts, the main push recently has been the completion of Saga Machine, which is currently entering the the second half of its playtesting phase. Much progress has been made on the game, and it certainly runs a lot smoother now than it did before the playtest....

New Website Host

After a great deal of problems with our old website host, I have finally decided to move the site to a new hosting company. If you are reading this, then the site should now be successfully moved. The main pages, as well as the wiki are currently back online and functioning properly. The forum, while online, still has a few kinks to be worked out, as the site move has forced an upgrade in version of phpbb. The new version doesn't have a 100% compatible database schema, so some manual tinkering will be required. I'll let everyone know when this is done....

Third Quarter 2008 Tab Update

It looks like Tab-System Neo is being renamed Saga Machine. The final thoughts are still being noted, but a long brainstorming session during the summer meeting produced that as the best candidate for a system name. Meanwhile, whatever the system is called, it is now pretty much done with development and into playtest. There it is expected to remain throughout this quarter, and to go into layout sometime next quarter....

Tab-System Neo Preview 4

The fourth preview of the upcoming Tab-System Neo is here. Not only does this preview have the completed versions of the Environmental and Mental modules, but it also have twice as many traits as the last preview and the beginnings of the Social module. The system is looking more and more complete all the time. In fact, this may be the last preview before the playtest version is released. Huzzah!...

Second Quarter 2008 Tab Update

This has been a busy quarter for the Collective, despite appearances to the contrary. Of foremost note, Tab-System Classic was completed and has made its way into the online store. Development of Trystell Reborncontinues to advance, although admittedly slowly. But the changes generated from the forum discussion so far have been consolidated into a single wiki page where they are all in one place and readily available....
